Designer Sasha Adler preserved the home’s historic bones while reworking nearly every surface for contemporary family life — an approach that feels especially relevant to EMT Home’s work in design-sensitive residences.
What makes the project compelling is not simply the renovation itself, but the discipline behind it. As Adler notes in the feature, no walls were moved, yet the kitchen and bathrooms were fully renovated, the original wide-plank floors were scraped and refinished by hand, and rear-facing windows were enlarged to bring more natural light into the home.
